Categorisation of Open Government Data Literature

Abstract Background: Due to the emerging global interest in Open Government Data, research papers on various topics this area have increased. Objectives: This paper aims categorise government data research. Methods/Approach: A literature review was conducted provide a complete overview and classification of open Hierarchical clustering, cluster analysis method, used, hierarchy clusters selected sets emerged. Results: The results study suggest that there are two distinct research, which either focus perspectives policies OGD, initiatives, portals or regional studies, adoption platforms, barriers implementation. Further findings gaps could be segmented into many thematic areas, focusing success factors, best practices, impact data, barriers/challenges implementing etc. Conclusions: extension paper, first presented at Entrenova conference, provides comprehensive date implementation OGD points out topic has already received attention, focuses specific segments phenomenon signifies direction new should made.
